Sagar Shah is a lecturer in the department of mathematics at California State University, East Bay in Hayward, California. He developed an interest in mathematics education during time spent as a college mathematics tutor following earning his B.S. in physiological science from the University of California, Los Angeles. These experiences in supporting students fueled a desire to pursue a future in teaching mathematics and led Sagar to CSU East Bay, where he earned an M.S. in mathematics while serving as an instructor helping first-year students navigate the transition to higher education in introductory math courses.
