Bamdad Samii teaches mathematics at Los Angeles Mission College. He is the chair of the Department of Mathematics, Computer Science, & Engineering, as well as the college’s professional development coordinator. His research and advocacy interests focus on mathematics pathways, equitable outcomes for STEM students, and leveraging technology to close achievement gaps in mathematics courses. Prior to joining the faculty at LAMC, he was a lecturer at California State University, Northridge, and a high school mathematics teacher.
