John F. Latting is associate vice provost for enrollment and dean of admission at Emory University. Since 2011, he has been responsible for the incoming freshman and transfer classes at Emory College of Arts and Sciences. Prior to his time in Atlanta, he worked in the admissions offices at Johns Hopkins University, California Institute of Technology, and Stanford University. Latting earned a doctorate in educational policy and management research from the Graduate School of Education at the University of California, Berkeley, now the Berkeley School of Education. He earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in philosophy from Stanford University after attending public school in Martinez, California.
