Josh Recio works with mathematics education systems to help develop, design, implement, and improve policies, procedures, content, and other structures that enable students to succeed in high-quality mathematics courses that are aligned to their aspirations. Recio’s leadership in the Charles A. Dana Center’s Launch Years Initiative, which seeks to usher in a new paradigm to support students for college preparation and guide them through pathways for degree attainment, specifically focuses on the transition from the junior year of high school through the junior year in college. Through this work, Recio has advised multiple states in the implementation of math pathways, as well as the modernization of Algebra II.
