Nicole Williams

Nicole Williams is the executive director of STEM in the Division of Curriculum and Instruction for New York City Public Schools. She oversees the development and implementation of key initiatives within mathematics and science education. Nicole provides leadership and coordination to develop K-12 evidence-based approaches as well as interdisciplinary approaches to STEM Education. She works closely with her team to develop, maintain, and ensure a rigorous and equitable educational experience across all schools. Nicole is working with her team to implement high-quality curriculum and re-think student experiences that lead to deeper learning. Prior to joining the Central Curriculum and Instruction Team, Nicole worked as a mathematics instructional specialist, assistant principal and principal. Nicole holds a master’s degree in curriculum and instruction from the Teachers College at Columbia University and a master’s degree from New York University, Steinhardt in educational leadership.
