Steven Hood is assistant commissioner of academic affairs in the Utah System of Higher Education. He served as the academic vice president and provost at Snow College in Utah and as the director of the first-year program at Ursinus College in Pennsylvania. His current work focuses on the core curriculum in Utah’s public colleges and universities and on student transfer and articulation policy. He serves on the Utah Launch Years math task force in conjunction with the Charles A. Dana Center at the University of Texas at Austin.
